About our Founder
Monica Memory - Artist & Owner
Endlessly curious, and very driven, I have been making things since Kindergarten, where I sold seed bead necklaces strung on dental floss for a dollar. From my desk in high school I sold handmade jewelry as Seaside Designs.
Full of enthusiasm for both design and entrepreneurship, I attended the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, graduating from Surface Design in 2010. I then started Paper Pattern Silk, a business selling gifts featuring my illustrations to retail shops.
In 2025 I realized a lifelong dream of opening my own giftshop that features my work as well as products from over 50 Canadian small businesses. Memory Made Gifts is open seasonally May to November in the Area 506 Waterfront Container Village in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
